This LS 2014 Elections ... will you, the voter, make a promise ?

“The AAP will make no promises to you. Instead it will ask you to make a promise. This time you will not cast your vote on the basis of kinship. You will forget caste; you will drive away the distributors of alcohol and money. AAP has not come to ask you for your vote. If there is anything we ask of you, it is to have faith in yourselves; and to listen to the voice of your soul. This election is not about the victory or defeat of political parties; it is about victory or defeat within ourselves. In front of the voting machine, we must think of the future of our children, the future of our city and our dreams for the future of our country.” Short link http://bit.ly/meera4mumbai

Many of us are deeply affected by the state of politics in our country. As you know, voting for the next Lok Sabha elections starts early April. In many ways this is the time for us as Indians to make a choice and make our voice heard.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) made a stunning debut in last Delhi Assembly elections towards providing an alternative politics. Many of us have watched it with curiosity and hope. AAP has decided to contest a significant number of Lok Sabha seats. While the party is probably well known for its stance on topics like corruption and criminalization, many of us are curious to know it's position on other topics esp. the economy.
With this in mind, we have assembled a distinguished panel consisting of:

Rajeev Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto; Meera Sanyal, former head of RBS India & Mumbai South AAP Candidate, Pankaj Gupta, National Secretary, AAP; Adarsh Shasthri, former executive with Apple Inc.; Amit Judge, economic advisor to AAP.

This is our opportunity to understand their views and ask them tough questions.

The dates/times are: Sunday, March 16, 12:30pm ET/9:30amPT/ 10pm IST

Many of us, like you, are not members of any political party- we are simply well wishers of our country and want to see positive change happen. AAP is looking for donations to be able to contest the elections esp. against the massive resources of more established parties. We would encourage you to join this call and make a judgment for yourself on how you would like to be involved and whether you would like to make a donation.

Regards,
Team AAP

p.s: If you have any specific questions that you would like to ask the panelists please email it to hangout@aamaadmiparty.org.
